It's still treacherous in places here in the Lakes although the snow has climbed back up to the fell tops Joan. The pavements are slick with ice in places as our temps have dropped.
Your walk sounds lovely. Especially when you are all wrapped up snug for it.
I have only ever once seen a kingfisher and it was one I rescued as it had banged itself off a window.
They are brilliant little birds...aren't they?
I liked the theme along the lochs new walled paths.
Stay warm and safe.
Love

No snow here today, it warmed up to 60 degrees with rain.
Loved the pictures!
We have kingfishers that sit on top of the Purple Martin house or in the dead tree by the pond, and they dive down into the water to catch fish. They are fun to watch but my husband worries they will eat all his fish!
