Stormy Saturday.

Good Evening, what can I say about today, we have had such a storm up here wind and very heavy rain. Ferries have been cancelled trees are down and there is a lot of flooding. Hopefully it is going to ease overnight. It has been raining almost constantly since Wednesday evening just after we got home for our run in the car. I have not been out into the countryside around here but I am sure the fields must be underwater by now.
I have spent most of the afternoon putting my pictures back into Picasa, it is some job and I am not finished yet. Still on a day like this it has passed the time away just fine.
In our village tonight there was to be an end of summer fair but I think it will have been cancelled just incase someone get swallow up in the mud lol.  Our yearly agricultural show in the summer was cancelled to so it has not been a good year for my village at all.
Stuart has been spending the afternoon watching Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea with Micheal Caine think its yet another new version of this great story. Stu said there were a lot of different bits in it away from the Jules Verne story but as long as he enjoyed it that's the main thing.
I think I have stretched this entry out as much as I can so till next time.
                           Love,
                           Joan.

Sorry about the weather Joan, it all sounds awful. Such a shame when people have put a lot of time and effort into something. I remember the original film with Kirk Douglas lol

Horrid weather, you can't do anything when it's like that, I know you like to go out for your walks, I didn't watch the fil today but do like the original version.

Have a good Sunday

We've had cold drizzle here in the northern US but thankfully no high gales. I really don't like heavy winds at all. That's a shame your end of summer fair got cancelled but I guess it sure is the end of summer. xx

After an all night downpour we had a sunny day. The wind was brisk but I was so thankful I didn't have to pack up stuff and tote it to the car in the rain. Miracles do happen sometimes. 'On Ya' - ma

We're getting very heavy winds here last night and this morning as well. Todd spent yesterday afternoon watching Jack London's Call of the Wild. Must've been a man movie afternoon!

Our weather here isn't much better ~ gales and heavy rain! When my computer has crashed I lose all the pics on Picasa but it gives me a button to click where I can search for them. It adds them all back automatically. Doesn't yours do that? I hope Sunday is a better day weather wise for you. Jeannette xx
