Frosty Sunday.

sskpenginesss4

Good afternoon its a lovely day now but bitterly cold it was -7c that's 19f and that's cold even for here when we got up this morning, everything is covered in white frost the likes of which I have not see for a few years. I walked round for the paper this morning and I only saw one other person usually I see quite a few others round at our local shop.I think everybody must have been staying indoors or using their cars. It was like this yesterday too but maybe a tad warmer if you can call 0c warmer. There is not much going on here all very quiet and settled in for this cold weather . I am glad we managed to get the heating fixed before this cold weather set in, one thing this just proved you need an alternative to you central heating.  We had our gas fire in the lounge and a fan heater for our bedroom that warmed up these rooms just fine.

I have sore fingers just now I sliced the top of my ring finger on my mandolin while I was cutting cheese it's not all that bad but I keep hurting it and cannot get it to close up at all. On my other hand I have a small burn must have caught in on the oven about two weeks ago and that too is still bothering me is so annoying trying to keep them both dry.

I think that's about it for today other than my picture of the day. You have heard me mention our big tree at the bottom of the garden well this is what it looked like today covered in hoar frost and it is still like that yet and it is after two in the afternoon now. Till next time Love Joan.

the pic of tree is awesome.

Anything in the teens is frigid to me, Joan. I prefer 70's...lol. I seem to cut myself quite often when cooking. The nerves in the fingers really seem to throb. That frozen tree is gorgeous. xx

Ouch at the finger! Hope you get it to close and it heals quickly. Not as cold as you, I am still in Farenheit here lol. Been very dark and miserable all day but we did not get the rain/sleet that was forecast.

It is just barely above freezing here this morning and raining. It is supposed to turn to snow and be cold and snowy most of the week ahead. I've got all my Christmas shirts out to start off the month of December so I'll have some nice warm layers to keep me warm.
Glad you had the heating fixed and were able to keep warm. I'm always wishing I had some gas logs or a fireplace in case of emergency, but I don't. Take care and keep warm. 'On Ya'-ma

The tree looks lovely. Poor fingers. Liquid bandaide for the fingers and burn but if you put soy sauce on a burn right away it stops the burn and cools the pain.

Too bad both hands are sore. I like to use liquid bandaid too. Your pictures are so pretty but a little warmer weather would be better. Today we have snow and 38 degrees for the Packers game.

There is nothing more beautiful than a hoar frost Joan! Breathtaking picture! Sorry about your fingers. I am used to having war wounds on mine, but they are a real nuisance just the same!

I hope the cut and burn get better, seems when you have something like that you keep knocking it don't you?! I'm glad the heating got sorted, you certainly need it now! That tree is spectacular! I was in Blair Atholl a few years back and there was thick frost everywhere when I woke in the morning. Stay warm, enjoy the week! Jeannette xx

We were minus five yesterday Joan.
It was bitterly cold and hoar frost rhimed all my garden and car.
We are certainly getting a true winter. Aren't we?
Lovely photo as usual.
Sorry to hear your fingers are taking a while to heal. The cold won't help.
