The Heat Is On.

Good Morning, Yes I am still here and glad to say the heat is on (at the moment). What a week Monday morning just out of bed at 8am when the plumber arrived so, it was all go as the the position of the pump and tank are in a cupboard in our bedroom and the beds have to be moved to get in. That done the plumber got started then discovered that he needed another part so off he went to Perth to get it thats about 38 miles there and back. Just after her arrived back the snow came on very heavy and continued for a couple of hours. It did lie but not very deep just a inch or so. By lunchtime the heating was up and running it has been a bit noisy and we still have to have another valve fitted to let the air escape so we have been told. I am absolutely fed up to the back teeth with this heating system this winter, it is getting old now but has cost us a fortune this winter. It has been strange in our married life every time we treat ourselves to something that is not absolutely necessary something essential will break down, last week we bought our new camera etc and then the heating goes wrong again its aways been the same it used to be the car always broke down now its the heating oh well mump over.

Yesterday we had a little run round in the car before doing the shopping and collecting Ellen from school. She is looking forward to going on a school trip next week sking in Glen Shee. She is a lucky girl. She has been having lessons since she was three on the dry ski slope at school so I am sure she will enjoy the real thing once more it is a while since she was on snow so it will be great fun with her classmates.

We have been trying to get out all week to try out the new camera and scope but the weather has been so cold and miserable it has been impossible. Stuart has had a bit of a practice from the kitchen window to the bird table and was pleased with the results. I have been amusing myself with my old playstation been playing Tomb Raider once again am finding it hard to get back to the level of expertise I was at a year ago it takes time to get the control back but I will get there in the end. I find I am not nearly as patient as I used to be and cannot stay on the playstation for nearly as long as I used to but I still enjoy it very much. Well I think thats about it for now waiting for the plumber coming to fit the valve and watching Andy Murray over the top of my laptop hope he does well. Till nixt time,Love

All my life it's been that whenever I manage to save a little something around the house always takes it right away. The good thing is that I could have it fixed, the bad being that I never get ahead. I am devoted now to taking it only one day at a time for sure.

our heating has been driving us nuts as well but at least it is all covered by a home service plan but I know what you mean - get a little money put by and then boom something or someone needs it!

We have the same luck. Everytime we buy something fun for us, something with the cars or house breaks down! Murpheys Law I guess! LOL

Have a good day.

Hi Joan, Isn`t it awful when the heating goes wrong? Ours has cost us a fortune this year and there is still more work to be done. It must be worse for you living up in Scotland because its much colder and at least our heating has worked, even though we`ve had to mess around with it. We also need a new fridge freezer before ours gives up the ghost completely. Jim`s car and mine has had work done over the last three weeks so goodness knows whats next for us! How lovely for Ellen, she must really be looking forward to it. :o)

Love and ((Hugs))

Sandra xxxx

You are right Joan.It does seem when one gets in front with something then another thing breaks and takes the liitle bit which is saved for a rainy day.I grunted today at Asda when they were putting Easter eggs on display.Good grief I said let the new year in will you please. They just cannot wait can they? It's one thing after another isn't it.I do hope you get a nice day soon to try out your new camera.Glad you got some heat anyway.Take Care God Bless Kath xx

I've got to a stage when I feel absurdly delighted when something turns out to WORK!
And I was just about to treat myself to a watch when the banks went belly-up.......

I can't believe that you play Tomb Raider. I thought it was quite a nasty game when I played it once but I am a wimp lol........Glad you and hubby are ok and that the heating is working, which is the most important thing huh? x

That's the way it seems to go for us as well Joan! We got ourselves a new telly for Christmas and what happens? Our stove quits on us. I think it's called Murhpy's law or some such! Glad your heatings finally sorted though! XXOO

We call that Murphy's Law here in the states. It always seems that when things go well and you have some extra money or spent it, something does break down. I seem to have problems with just about anything that has a motor in it. It's so frustrating.

LOL at the Playstation. I used to fight with my kids over the Nintendo and the Game Boy. That is so addicting but I think it keeps the mind stimulated.

Hope your weather cooperates and you get to use the new telescope/camera. xx Chris
