Its Golf This Weekend

flowers

Good Afternoon, here we are again its Thursday, the 15th of July the first day of the British Open at St Andrews and we have the best seat in the house in front of the TV. Its not a nice day there at all, misty and wet but no wind so the course is being murdered at the moment we need some wind maybe once the tide turns.  July is such a busy month sports wise  between The Tour de France, Grand Prix, Golf, the tennis at the end of the June, Stuart is having a ball, and I watch over the top of my laptop.

Have not been out and about this week we have only had one and a half nice days, Monday we went to Perth and Tuesday morning we sat out in the garden with coffee and scones (home made).

Does anyone have a good muffin recipe I have never tried them but would love to. Think I will make a Tea Loaf today one of my favourites and I have not made one for ages but we have been trying to watch our weight but it would be nice to have a tasty bit for all this TV watching we will be doing the next few day.     That's about it for today hoping for a home win but we will see. Till next time Love Joan.

It's nice you can be dry and watch the sports on TV even though it's raining out. I agree you do need something good to have and I love scones and haven't made them in a long time. Glad you got some needed rain, but I know you'll be glad to get outside again.

Watching the golf on TV sounds like a good idea and even better with some goodies to nibble ~ it is a nasty day here today with some high wind ~ and wet yet again ~ Hope your weather improves so you can get out I know how much you enjoy your outings ~ Ally x

If it's wind you want I'll send some of ours. Why do you want wind?

I've been to St Andrews once about 40 years ago which was the last time i went to Scotland. Always meant to go back as my husband has family in Burntisland but never got round to it. If we don't do it soon there will be no one left to see.

Well Tiger Woods got nowhere lol. Nasty weather you had up there for it. Sorry no recipes from me, I gave up eating cakes when I became diabetic and no longer make anything like that. I miss them. Jan mentioned Scones, oh what I would give for a cream tea!

Blogs I read.
