Spring at Last.

spring flowers[11]

Today is a day that you dream about all winter long a Spring morning warm and a cloudless blue sky.  As we walked around for the Sunday paper as we do every Sunday weather permitting that is what we said to each other.  It was a glorious morning everything looked so good the Daffodils were all smiling as we passed by like all the rest of the Spring flowers that are hurrying up to catch the best of the weather were smiling too.  It has been a winter to remember for all the wrong reasons  I am dreading the heating bill coming in it will be astronomical but you have to stay warm.
We have made a start on the garden and it is beginning to look a bit better.  We don't seem to have lost too many of our hardy plants but our Lupin has died and one of our Buddleia plants is looking a bit iffffy. We will leave it to see there in one shoot so maybe it well come away. I had a lovely Phlox that I grew from a cutting and it has gone, am sad about this as it was very special.
It was warm enough to sit out today and read your paper/book which was lovely it does you so much good sit and feel  the warmth of the sun.
I think that's about all for today I hope you too have had this lovely weather today I think we all deserve it.  till next time take care. Love

Isn't it wonderful to be out and about without freezing! It's a little cloudy here but still nice. I went to church with a light jacket on and it felt good not to be weighted down with the heavy coat and boots. It's lovely too to work outside. Winter always leaves us a lot of clearing up to do. My little tulips were poking holes through the leaves trying to come up. Have a wonderful day!

It was beautiful here as well Joan. I've just done a blog entry with some photos of Brighton.... and of course the cats! We certainly do deserve a good summer this year after the nightmare winter. Let's hope it will last for a few weeks! Jeannette xx

Funnily enough today Joan has not been as warm as has the last few days !! Mary and I have not been able to sit out and enjoy the sunshine...although Mary's cat Amber enjoyed sitting on my chair out on the deck so he must have thought it was ok !! mind you he has his tick ginger coat on all the time !!
Glad that you hae had it good though fingers crossed for us week after next. This time next Sunday we will be in the borders we stop overnight at Abbington..
Love Sybil x

I said a similar thing to Keith on Saturday "THIS is what winter's all about", I said, turning my face to the sun which, for a change, had some warmth in it. We've lost quite a few plants too. A shame but they'll replace. The grass is the worst thing.

This recent sunny spell has fair cheered the flowers up too. Their wee faces are turning like ours into the sunshine at long last!

Seems we've all been out in our gardens lately, totting up the losses and then cheering up at the new growth and spring flowers :o) This is my first spring with a proper garden, so I'm loving the surprises of all the plants coming back from the dead almost!!

Hello,

Please could you go and visit The Wheel of Fortuna and leave a supportive message for Steve.

His partner BobRobert is in the local hospice and is not expected to live much longer.

It is not so long since his diagnosis which makes it all even more sad.

Thanks for your support.

Love,
Herrad
